Little Stars Christmas Appeal

An estimated 25% of local children live in poverty. This Christmas, thousands of families will struggle to manage with the additional pressure of buying gifts.

We can do something to help.

Our two partner charities have provided us with a list of items the children they support may like to receive based on their interests and hobbies and from Tuesday 4 November, a Christmas tree covered in tags – each with one of the gifts written on it – will be up in the Atrium at our Horsforth Campus, and in the main reception area at City Campus. Help decorate the ‘little stars’ tree as part of Leeds Trinity University's Advent campaign and provide much needed gifts for children living in poverty this Christmas.

It’s simple; take a gift tag from the tree, buy the children's gift, return them both to reception by 5 December, and put a star on the tree.

Over the coming weeks, as a university, we want to FILL the tree with acts of generosity.

We will then help deliver the gifts to the children in time for Christmas.

Please note that gifts should not be wrapped, while pre-used items and toy weapons cannot be accepted.
